(GWC's Tim Ryan is standing in front of the entrance to a gym as he prepares to deliver his next interview)
Tim Ryan: Hello to all of you wrestling fans out there. I'm Tim Ryan, your very own backstage and pre-show interview man, and I'm here to get the first comments from the GWC's newest addition to the roster.
(He goes in, and the camera reveals an unusual scene. Instead of rolling around in the ring set up in a corner, or pounding away at a heavy punching bag, the newest addition to the GWC's roster is teetering precariously on one foot on top of what appears to be a short pole. Red Solomon then deftly hops to the next, taller pole with an easy grace, and continues to make his way up until he reaches the tallest pole of all, which has to be at least 10 feet in the air. With a sudden flip he launches himself off the pole, turning around in mid-air, and lands comfortably on his feet. The lovely woman overseeing the training offers Red a towel which he accepts, and begins to dry himself off. Her smart red suit, artfully done up hair and expensive heels look out of place in the training area. She notices the interviewer and his crew, and strides over to him, extending a delicate hand.)
The Lady: Ah, I was wondering when you might be showing up. I take it you wish to give my client his first interview?
Tim Ryan: Yes, yes I would. Are you his manager?
The Lady: Indeed I am. You may call me The Lady. I look after my client's affairs and his general well-being. If you like, you may have a few words with him.
(Red Solomon walks over to Tim, and shakes his hand. Wearing a pair of orange shorts, with his bare hands and feet wrapped up in tape, he cuts a beguilingly casual air next to the formal appearance of his manager as he looks at the interviewer with interest.)
Tim Ryan: Hello Mr. Solomon, my name is Tim Ryan and I'd like to get some thoughts and comments from you. From what I hear, this is your first experience in professional wrestling?
(Amused disbelief crosses Red's face as he listens to Mr. Ryan.)
Red Solomon: Hello Tim. If you're looking for the truth I guess technically this is my first time working for a professional wrestling company. But you see, people take that as a cue to not take me seriously. And if that's their reaction they'll soon learn that it's the wrong one to have. You see Tim, I'm no stranger to pain and punishment. I'm no stranger to taking on someone who wants to take me down. I'm a martial artist. I've earned my spurs in places all over the world. I've trained with the martial arts experts of Hong Kong. I've participated in the kickboxing tournaments of Thailand.
The Lady: Don't forget Japan.
Red Solomon: And yes, I've spent years in Japan, where the wrestling is intense and the competition is brutal. And now I've signed on with the GWC. It's nice to have the contract and all, I guess. It's nice to compete in front of thousands of screaming audience members for a change. But are you suggesting this is all new to me? It isn't.
Tim Ryan: But surely someone of your skills would prefer to work for an organisation that specialised in the martial arts?
Red Solomon: I'm a fighter. I'm a winner. I look for the best, because I want to join their ranks one day. What better way to prove myself than right here in the GWC? And what better way to prove that someone of my skills has what it takes to make it in this business? Make no mistake, Tim, I come to the GWC with respect for each of my opponents, because I know what they can do. But do they know what I can do? If they don't, they'll have to learn fast.
Tim Ryan: Admirable sentiments, Mr. Solomon. What do you think of the card this Wednesday, where the rest of the GWC will compete in their first show of the year?
Red Solomon: We'll be there in San Diego. We'll be checking out the GWC. We'll see for ourselves what kind of show they can put on out there. And when the matches are over, and the victors climb the turnbuckles and shoot their arms to the sky, they'd be wise to check out the audience at ringside. One of them might be the next man they'll have to face.
The Lady: Thank you, Mr. Ryan. We have nothing more to say.
(The Lady leads Red away, whispering into his ear as Tim Ryan faces the camera.)
Tim Ryan: Well ladies and gentlemen, there you have it, the exclusive first interview of Red Solomon in the GWC. He's here, and from what I've seen he's definitely ready to go. I will see you live at Wednesday Night Assault.
