Hong Kong. Comprising more than 260 islands as well as a huge metropolitan area. A Crown Colony of the United Kingdom from 1842 until the British Nationality Act of 1981 was passed. As a result of that act, Hong Kong then became a British dependent territory. In 1997 a transfer of sovereignty returned Hong Kong to the People's Republic of China. The place where Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris once clashed for Way of the Dragon. The place where Wednesday Night Assault will take place in the city's respective stadium. Deep in the heart of Mong Kok, one of the busiest districts of all of Hong Kong, stood someone familiar. Standing the middle of a mass of moving pedestrians and clad in a loose blue collared shirt, faded blue jeans, and a pair of white and red DC shoes was the Citizen Soldier, David Alastair. To him, this reminded him of being in the middle of Manhattan at rush hour. The Citizen Soldier looks around a little bit, taking in this atmosphere which is one of the largest cities in Hong Kong. Finally, noticing the camera focusing in on him, David bit his lower lip and proceeded to speak out on his upcoming match against Outcast and Lexington Royale at Assault.
"Well, here I am. Sai Yeung Choi Street South. Hong Kong's most bustling of avenues. Waiting for Reckless Jack to show up and give us his two cents on our opponents tomorrow evening. He promised me that he meet me here. Anywho, Jack and I...as Uncultured Youth will test ourselves against the GWC tag team champions, the Gold Foundation. To catch anybody you didn't catch the pay-per-view, Viva la GWC, while yours truly won the GWC United States championship...the Warrior of Words, the Poet, GWC's resident bumbling Englishman and a former World Champ and one of the most respected people in this side of the wrestling circuit won back the tag titles away from EPW's Felipe Salarose and Zak Warner, the artist formerly known as "The Disciple". Who frankly, lost his Television Title against one of the people with whom I'm very used to seeing succeed on all levels. That being Skyler Striker. However, I have speak on a few things..."
Clearing his throat and rubbing his gruff chin, David resumed talking while the mass crowd of people shift around him.
"First off, I'd like to say that the card the GWC posted a while ago about Outcast and Royale being two victories up and no defeats. It's true...to an extent. You see last week, our favorite Englishman and the person who I beat for the US title, J-Snore McCammon defeated Kid Alpha and Triple X while Outcast defeated Pillage, Darkness, and Kid Hollywood. Now, that isn't exactly two and zero. Instead, the Gold Foundation is one and zero. Individually, it's different. Be sure to watch the show to catch the fault that the card showed. Thanks. So, I guess that we should move on to something that I have in common with the Gold Foundation. And that is facing and defeating Outcast at another promotion's pay-per-view. A former world champion, and currently a tag champ...Not bad. But what have you done during this little stretch in between, Outcast? Nothing that I can remember off-hand. Except for me beating you in WCF. Unfortunately for you, pal...everybody saw that victory coming according to the predictions the fans submitted. And you ask, what have I done between our two meetings? Easy. Saying that WCF was absolute crap and leaving mid-card hell there for one. Another being a three-time United States Champion. Being undefeated in all GWC pay-per-views that I have been involved with. Sounds great? I think it's incredible..."
Briefly checking his watch and looking off-screen for a few seconds, his violet eyes come back to the camera. Sniffing in the congested air, Alastair decided to continue.
"Since I'm here waiting for RJ to come around, to which he should be coming around in a few minutes to continue talking about our ambitions in the imminent event of us winning our match tomorrow night. As well as making fun of some wanker drinking out of his sippie cup next to a fireplace."
Just then, David's cell phone rings in his pocket to which he responds to. Flipping it open and picking it up next to his ear, he answers.
"Hello?"
A slight pause comes about.
"Yo, bud. You coming?"
To the viewer, one could hear someone talking on the other end. By the way David is talking, it's apparent that it's his friend Reckless Jack.
"A few minutes more? Alright, sounds good. Peace, bro."
Closing it and placing it back into his front pocket, the Citizen Soldier nods and speaks out once more.
"Okay, that was RJ. And would you please put in a "To Be Continued..." down at the bottom?"
"To Be Continued..." pops up at the bottom of the screen. This satisfies David, as shown in his smile. Finally, he decides to wrap up.
"Until next time...which'll be a few, stay with us for part two!"
As he finishes, the Citizen Soldier flashes the deuce while the screen fades to black.
--------------------
A few minutes later, the camera comes back into focus. It reveals a somber David Alastair. He looks around and sighs, coming back to the camera. After a few moments of silence, the Citizen Soldier starts to speak one more time.
"I'm sorry to announce that Reckless Jack will not make it to this interview. Thanks for spending time with me, David Alastair. And please, keep the Reckless One in your thoughts and prayers..."
Trailing off, the camera quickly fades to darkness.
