(We find ourselves alone, walking down a deserted hallway. It seems endless. No doors, only windows spaced out every five feet on the right side of the hall. It is raining outside and the thunder and lightning are the only sounds or light we can hear or see. We keeps walking, hearing faint murmurs between blasts of thunder. In between a particularly bright flash of lightning, we experience a prolonged darkness. When the hall is illuminated once again, we see the cloaked, hooded figure of the Ryder staring back at us. The Unholy Warrior wishes to speak...)
RYDER: "Chris Cage. A victim. That's all you can call him after what the Ryder did at Viva La GWC. There was not even a match. Only carnage. And now? He's out indefinitely. A victory for the Coalition and a harsh defeat for EPW. One of many they suffered that night. What's next? You'll see."
(The lightning flashes bright once more before leaving us in another extended darkness. When again our vision is lit by the flashes outside, the Ryder is gone again. However, there is no a door on the left side of the room that was not there before. It is right next to where the Unholy Warrior was standing. We approach it and, hesitantly at first, reach for the knob and open it. Inside we find darkness again but for a solitary torch on the far wall, showing the room as containing nothing more than shadows and fear. The Ryder's voice echoes throughout the room...)
RYDER: "Come in. Do not be afraid. I mean only to enlighten you. The Vagrant finally made a wise decision. He has made the Ryder the new number one contender for the GWC World Championship. I now have my second opportunity for glory. That, however, is next week. This week I shall team with two other number one contenders, although they are vying for inferior titles. Snad shall be fighting for the very title I made famous. The GWC United States Championship. This man is insane. No other way to describe him. Just the way I like it. Perhaps another possible recruit for the Affliction? Time will tell. Kevin Hardaway is after a different kind of title. The Tapout Championship. Quite an odd choice to team with Snad and myself. Formidable as we are, it is a unique mix. The Ryder will lead the way. Victory will be ours."
(We realize that we have been drawn further into the room by the Ryder's voice. Too late, we turn around to escape but the door shuts and locks behind us. We turn back around and the Ryder is once again before us. His menacing glare tells the story of the torment he wishes to put us through. He continues on...)
RYDER: "I told you to not fear. Death is inevitable. The judgment for your sins is what you should truly dread. If found guilty, you do not wish to know what the Ryder will do to you. But I digress. Our opponents? The three champions. World, United States, and Tapout. T-Money, David Alastair, and Thunder. The leader of T.H.U.G. shall be discussed last. Let us go in reverse. The newest title in the GWC is the Tapout Championship. It is held by Michael 'Thunder' Knight. The man who was fortunate enough to defeat me in my first challenge for the World Championship. A minor setback and one that will be corrected next week. However, this Wednesday will mark the true healing of the wound. When I get you along in that ring, you will wish I had been rid of you the first time. Worry all you want about your personal life. In the end, it matters not. The Ryder will judge you guilty. Next, we have David Alastair. The man who is keeping my United States Championship warm for me. I must say one thing, I admire him for defeating that perpetual thorn in my side, JW McCammon. The Mercenary is still on my hit list and will pay for his transgressions. First though is Alastair. You have returned to the Coalition to become the first three time champion in our illustrious history. However, this Wednesday will not be a time for celebration. Instead, it will be a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And finally, we have T-Money. My opponent next week and the man from whom I will finally take the World Championship. Your act has grown old, T-Money. I can see your sins for what they truly are. The acts of a desperate man. This week will serve as a preview. You have been warned. Next week, the World Championship comes with the Unholy Warrior into the Affliction."
(The Ryder has now walked over to the back wall and has taken the torch from it. He holds it high in the air in front of him, the flames causing devious shadows to fall across his demented face. The maniacal leader of the Affliction walks close to the camera to finish his rant...)
RYDER: "Three contenders. Three champions. An immensely important six man match. I will lead my team into battle. And we shall succeed. T-Money's reign shall soon be at an end. As far as you are concerned, the judgment has only begun. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done. Thus says Ryder."
(The Unholy Warrior holds the torch in front of the camera with his evil countenance directly behind it. He smiles a cruel grin as he snaps the fingers on his other hand and the torch goes out, leaving us in darkness. His merciless laughter is heard from the depths before the sounds of a struggle and then choking is also heard. After a few tortuous seconds, the darkness becomes quiet. We have seemingly faded to black.)
