We find ourselves once again in the study of Lexington "The Poet" Royale's downtown London home. The Word Warrior is in one of his finely tailored suits and, as always, is enjoying a cup of tea. His Global Wrestling Coalition Tag Team Championship is sitting on the table beside him and he smiles broadly into the camera.
Royale - "Hello friends! Do make yourselves comfortable. Of course, Sir Reginald shall be here any moment. Much to talk about today. Quite a lot of goings on here in the GWC. Let's start off with what a huge success Viva La GWC was. And not just for myself. We'll get to that in a moment. The big news was T-Money retaining his GWC World Championship in the Ultimate X match. That victory established complete control of the GWC for one Daniel Vice. I know I have not always agreed with Mr. Vice in the past. However, I much prefer the old adage of dealing with the devil you know rather than the one you don't. So congratulations to all who are loyal to the greatest wrestling company in the world. Cheers!"
Lexington raises his cup in salute and takes a sip before resuming.
Royale - "Now I believe we shall move on to my own personal sense of satisfaction. After a difficult and trying period of time, I am once again one half of the GWC Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately, Stephen Grace was not there physically to witness the final revenge of England's Finest Connection. However, he was there in spirit. It was a bad case of luck that my original partner, Jamal Carter, was not able to make his flight out of the States. And to be honest, he has gone missing in action ever since then. Hopefully all is well with my former Odd Couple teammate and perhaps my new tag team will expand into a full fledged stable upon his return. I know that he would be welcomed with open arms. So come back soon, Mr. Carter...wherever you are. To the man who truly is...Fireproof!"
The Artful Avenger once again raises his cup in salutations to his missing former partner before continuing.
Royale - "This now brings us to my current partner. The man known as Outcast. He made his official GWC wrestling debut toward the tail end of my championship match against those heartless villains of CXF and EPW, the Disciple and Felipe Salarose. Fortunately, we were able to turn the tide together and claimed victory to bring the GWC Tag Team Championship back to this great Coalition. And yes, we have come up with a team name that is perfectly suited to our cause. The Gold Foundation is a force that shall have to be reckoned with for quite some time. With Sir Reginald Churchill by our side, there's nothing that can stand in our way of topping the record that I myself set along with Stephen Grace for longest reign as GWC Tag Team Champions. To a long and prosperous title run for the Gold Foundation!"
Your Civil Champion toasts his tea cup a third time before taking a sip and then moving on.
Royale - "So what's next for the Gold Foundation? I shall first make a quick mention of our non-title match next week on Wednesday Night Assault. We will be facing off with the reunited team of the returning Reckless Jack and the current GWC United States Champion David Alastair. They are otherwise known as the Uncultured Youth. A formidable team to say the least. However, I am quite confident that the Gold Foundation shall reign supreme in only our second match together. Despite all that, I mustn't get ahead of myself. This week, my partner Outcast shall go it along in a fatal four way against three tough individuals. On the contrary, I will be teaming up with that merciless Mercenary himself, JW McCammon. And our opponents, you ask? Two of those dastardly EPW invaders, Kid Alpha and Triple X. It shall be a tough battle but I have no doubt in my impressive mind that two of your GWC heroes shall earn a hard fought victory over those despicable EPW ruffians. Once again, raise your cup with me in a salute to yet another victory for the Coalition against the hordes of EPW. Salud!"
Mr. Royale raises his cup an astonishing fourth time before having another sip and continuing onward.
Royale - "So I believe you are all caught up to date, yes? Quite good. Thank you for visiting once again. I haven't the foggiest idea as to where Sir Reginald is. He should have been here by now..."
Just as Lexington is finishing this sentence, a burst of smoke appears around the chair next to the Poet and the Magician is now seated next to him, looking a bit flushed.
Churchill - "Am I late? Did I miss anything?"
Royale - "To be honest, only the whole interview. We're out of time, Reginald. Our guests must be going now."
Churchill - "Bugger. I really must conjure up a new battery for my pocket watch."
Royale - "It's quite alright. You can speak to our friends next time. Isn't that right?"
Churchill - (sighs) "Yes. Quite."
Royale - "Very good. See you next time, friends!"
Lexington waves cheerfully as Sir Reginald sulks in his chair. We then fade to black.
