We find ourselves once again in the study of one Lexington "The Poet" Royale. He is seated in a leather armchair and holding a cup of tea. He wears a tailor made suit and is joined by Reginald "The Magician" Churchill. The two of them smile broadly at us and extend their greetings.
Royale - "Yes. Do sit down. A cup of tea, perhaps? I know why you all have decided to visit your Civil Champion today. Tribulation, yes? As you all know, the Gold Foundation defends the Global Wrestling Coalition Tag Team Championship against two members of Uncultured Youth. They are the tag team of Anthony Clark and Xavier Hudson, otherwise known as Murder Inc. Tough competitors to say the least. Wouldn't you say so, Sir Reginald?"
Churchill - "Yes. Quite. These two young ruffians don't know quite what they're in for though, do they? I'll admit, we've yet to truly test the abilities of the Gold Foundation as compared to the greatest tag team in wrestling history, England's Finest Connection. But after you and your partner Outcast defeated Reckless Jack and David Alastair, another two members of Uncultured Youth mind you, I think we have the makings of a stellar tag team encounter for tomorrow night's pay-per-view. Wouldn't you say so, Lexington?"
Royale - "Yes. Quite. England's Finest Connection and the run we had will be difficult to best. However, I have the utmost confidence in both myself and Outcast. We shall emerge victorious tomorrow night with the GWC Tag Team Championship still in our collective grasp at the end of the evening. That is certainly one thing to be counted upon."
The Word Warrior pours a bit more tea for both himself and his esteemed manager before they both take a sip and smile at the excellent brew that they have concocted this fine evening. They raise their cups in salute to one another before continuing their conversation.
Churchill - "And count upon that victory we shall. I daresay that the Gold Foundation might even give the E.F.C.'s longest tag title reign a run for its money. After all, your unique mix of talent shall be tough for even the most seasoned team to counteract. Unfortunately for Clark and Hudson, they are not exactly tag team veterans in this sport. You, however, have singlehandedly kept the GWC tag team division from fading away into the mists of time. If it were not for the Artful Avenger...and his dashing manager...there would be no GWC Tag Team Championship at all!"
Royale - "Yes. Quite. I do agree with that sentiment wholeheartedly. Through my teaming with Stephen 'The Genius' Grace in England's Finest Connection, past my brief alliance with 'Fireproof' Jamal Carter in the Odd Couple, and finally in my current partnership with Outcast in the Gold Foundation, I have been a part of each and every one of the hottest tag team matches that this company has ever seen. And that tradition continues tomorrow night at the pay-per-view."
Churchill - "Another toast then? To Tribulation? To the GWC Tag Team Champions? What shall we toast to this time?"
Royale - "I have the perfect thing. Let us toast to this very simply idea...the Ecstasy of Gold. Does that sound suitable?"
Churchill - "Yes. Quite."
The two distinguished English gentlemen raises their cups in another salute before sipping from them once again. They smile broadly at us as they wave goodbye. We now fade to black.
