(The screen comes on to see “The Mercenary” JW McCammon going into his locker room. He begins to tape his wrists, getting ready for his match with, Jamal Carter, which is tonight on at Tribulation. McCammon wraps the black tape around his wrists slowly and methodically, taking his time to make sure it is good and tight. This, confidentially, is just the way he plans on handling Jamal Carter in the ring. The Mercenary finishes and begins to check his boots making sure they are the secure also. McCammon then sits on the bench to contemplate the match that he is going to have with Carter. McCammon closes his eyes and plans out what he is going to do in the ring. He cracks his neck and stretches his arms to get loosened up. McCammon opens his eyes and begins to speak...)
JW McCammon: Another week and I see that this time someone is going to face The Mercenary. That jobber didn’t even show up last time, so I didn’t even have a match last week. Maybe this time I am going to have some competition with Jamal Carter. That cunning little bastard who was almost the number one contender to the GWC title!
(McCammon cracks a smile before talking again, pausing as you can hear the people outside the locker room, chanting for Jamal Carter...)
JW McCammon: Carter is right where he should be, coming back to face on one of the biggest names in wrestling. Yeah he good, but I am better. And this week, I am going to show you what the Mercenary has got to offer. No matter, who wins this match, it will be spectacular. Carter shouldn’t underestimate me, though. I think it was a fluke, what happened to me at the last PPV. But then again, against that talent, it might happen again this week. Carter is no push over in my book. Anyone who can stand up to the Mercenary is very capable of winning the match for himself.
(McCammon stands up and grabs the title belt that is on the bench and drapes it across his shoulder. He adjusts it and pauses as the crowd in the background is showing their appreciation for the Mercenary. He cracks his neck again and starts to speak...)
JW McCammon: This week, I get to finish what Carter and I started, backstage, a couple of months ago. I want to see who the better man really is. One-on-one, what do you say boy?!
I can’t believe someone of your intelligence and ability hasn’t won a match at any PPV or at least creates “the opportunity.” I have beaten Ryder, I have beaten T-Money, but I haven’t beaten you, Jamal. So this is my reason why I am going to make an example out of you, Mr. Carter, if I can be so formal. Time and time again, people say I am a soldier of fortune. A mere bounty hunter, a gun for hire! Well Jamal, I am the Essence of Efficiency and it seems the bounty is on your head and I have come to collect on my way back to the US Championship!
(The Mercenary rubs his hands together as he pauses, glaring deeply, into the camera with an intense stare. Chilling and almost as cold as ice The Mercenary speaks again...)
JW McCammon: So you see it is so simple when you look at it that way. Isn't it?! I am going to give this everything I have in my body. Everything I have in my soul. Because I have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
Tonight, Jamal, I am a caged tiger, who has just been sent back into the jungle. You are the prey, so get ready Carter, ‘cause you are Locked On!!!
(“The Mercenary” JW McCammon smiles as he holds up his fists and you can hear the crowd roaring in, with “Mercenary” chants as the screen fades to black.)
