It’s been a while since I’ve spoken out to the GWC crowd. I wonder what they’ll think of me now. I can only image the thoughts the must be having. Things like ‘It’s going to be the same old Jamal Carter’ and ‘Rank up another loss for JC’. It’s sad really. I got fans out there who cheer me on and believe that I can climb to the top of the mountain. Still, there are the disbelievers. Those who can cut me down because my win/loss record isn’t good enough for them.
I will be the bigger person though. Forgive and forget. After a short absence, I will step back inside the GWC in ‘The Land Down Under’ and into a match that will get me back on the right track. Many people go to Australia for fun and excitement. I go for the chance to make the fools eat their words. Promo time.
The camera opens to a sun lit shoreline. Out in the water, a few surfers float in the water and enjoy the calm afternoon while a few people lounge on chairs and enjoy the sight. The camera pans around and sitting in the shade of an umbrella is GWC Superstar Jamal Carter. Carter sports a pair of Oakley, Inc. sunglasses, black Addidas® shorts and a white wifebeater. Carter lays on his back and looks out onto the South Pacific Ocean and takes in the tropical setting.
Jamal Carter - Decided I would stop and take relax here at Fraser Island before I headed into Sydney. As a wrestler, sometimes I forget about all of the exotic places I visit because I’m so worried about my next match. This time is different. Not as much weight on my shoulders.
Carter stretches out, rolls over and lies on his stomach.
Jamal Carter - JW McCammon is a great wrestler. He has a career behind him that will live on and be remembered after his days. JW, first things first, I am going to beat you. Plain and simple.
Carter rolls onto his back, folds his sunglasses and puts them in his pocket.
Jamal Carter - I can hear the laughs. Jamal Carter beat JW McCammon? It’s hard to believe but let it sink in for a moment.
Carter grabs a bottle of water from next to him, takes the cap off and takes a swig.
Jamal Carter - Remember back to your first win JW. Think real hard. Did you tell yourself you were going to win? Did you believe yourself? On the 31st of January, I TOLD myself I was going to win. I got into the match and had my head split open with a steel chair. Next week, same thing. Week after that, same thing. Wouldn’t that just make you sick? Step in the ring, bust your head open, get a slap in the face, go to the next destination, and have it happen all over again. All those times I told myself I was going to win. Did I? Nope. I didn’t win because I didn’t believe in myself. Are you starting to remember that feeling JW? The feeling of your first win? How good it is and from then on you would do whatever it takes to feel it again. Well you did. You continued your career and you were nothing but impressive. I can’t say the same for me though.
Carter stands up and begins to walk toward to water.
Jamal Carter - JW, I have unquestionable respect for you. But I've found a new found passion to win. Come Tribulation I will walk out to that ring and with each punch wear you down a little bit more and stand over you with my hand raised high in the air. JW, it's time for you to step into the ring with ME and take your beatings like a man.
Fade to black.
