2/7 Wednesday Night Assault Results (5)

"My Last Breath" by Evanescence hits the speakers as the cameras pan throughout the EnergySolutions Arena to a rabid and ravenous crowd. Signs are shown which read phrases such as "The Only Champion: Red Solomon", "Fear the Phantom", "BA Who?" and "The Sinner Needs Cleansing". Finally, after rapid angle changes and panning, the camera settles in on our commentators, Phil Brooks and Josh Harter.

Josh Harter: Phil! Can you feel it tonight? Here we are in Salt Lake City, the EnergySolutions Arena, and we have not one, but TWO, main events!

Phil Brooks: That is right, Josh. Skyler Striker against BA Monk, Thunder against Miguel Sanchez, it's the World Title semifinals. We've been waiting a long month for a night like this, and it's finally time to find out who will headline Alpha!

Josh Harter: Let's not also forget two debuts tonight, The Poet will faceoff with G-Money and Kencedro, while Brian Haze will meet with Ryder and my pick for the future Ultimate Champion, Abaddon.

Phil Brooks: No doubt those matches will be great, but let's not forget about our opening bout, as Jamal Carter and Alaric Griffon square off with T-Money and Phoenix Chambers. Some bad blood between these men so far, with Griffon and Chambers already booked for Alpha in a #1 Contender match for the United States Title, after Chambers stole Griffon's title shot last week!

Josh Harter: Stole? He deserved it. Griffon betrayed him in the Battle Royal two weeks back, last week he just got what he deserved. I'm just glad we get famous people like John Stockton here tonight.

T-Money Segment

The house lights fade to black as two sets of squad car lights pierce the darkness. The sound of a police siren and a few gun shots fill the air. "We Fly High" by Jim Jones begins to boom through the PA while smoke fills the entryway. T-Money appears as a silhouette in the midst of it. From the stage, six shots of pyro are shot out above the crowd.

Michelle Madison: From Orlando, Florida, weighing in at 183 lbs., T-Money!

T-Money steps through the smoke to a vast amount of boos and heads down the ramp. Clad in a Utah Jazz John Stockton basketball jersey, baggy jeans, and Timberland boots, he slowly strolls to the ring with no emotion. T-Money climbs the ring steps and stops for a moment to pose for the crowd. T-Money turns back to the ring, climbs through the ropes, and poses once again. His theme music fades out as he suddenly snatches the microphone from Michelle Madison.

T-Money: Excuse me baby, I have to say something real quick. You don’t mind right?

Michelle Madison shakes her head.

T-Money: Good girl…now first off, before I embarrass my mini me wanna be, Jamal Carter, in front of millions of people, I just want to give it up to John Stockton who has front row seats tonight…

The crowd cheers loudly.

T-Money: I grew up watching this man play basketball on TV, and it’s safe to say that John “Old School” Stockton….is by far the WORST player ever in NBA history!

The crowd’s cheers immediately turn to boos.

T-Money: Just shut the hell up everybody! That’s why Karl Malone went to the Lakers, he finally realized that this place is a f*ckin’ dump! A true example of a basketball legend is Michael Jordan, not John Stockton a.k.a. Mr. Daisy Dukes. So what if you could pass the ball well? You blew both of your chances at the NBA Championship! Legends deliver John, and you my friend, are NOT a legend! Some hometown hero huh Salt Lake City?

The boos get louder as John Stockton stands to his feet but two security guards rush over to him to make sure he doesn’t retaliate.

T-Money: Let him come in here, I’ll beat his old a** just like Jordan and Pippen did! This is what I think of John Stockton and Salt Lake City as a whole…

T-Money pulls off his Utah Jazz jersey and throws it to the mat. He spits on it and then kicks it out of the ring. He flips the crowd off and hands the microphone back to Michelle Madison.

Jamal Carter/Alaric Griffon v. T-Money/Phoenix Chambers

Michelle Madison: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is a tag team match, scheduled for one fall.

Suddenly, a wrestler's music plays. But it's not Jamal Carter, Alaric Griffon, or Phoenix Chambers music. It's Cool Dad's! Cool Dad immediately gets in the ring and starts whispering something to Michelle Madison.

Michelle Madison: Um, let me introduce to you, he is the special guest commentator for this match. He is the only true Icon in the GWC and future World's Heavyweight Champion, Cool Dad.

Cool Dad poses for a second, then leaves the ring and sits beside Phil Brooks and Josh Harter.

Cool Dad: Hey guys, how ya doing?

Josh Harter goes to shake Cool Dad's hand.

Phil Brooks: How did I know you was going to do that?

Josh Harter: Oh Phil, you just are jealous that you aren't a great wrestler who gets all the ladies like Cool Dad is.

Phil Brooks: God, you are such a suckup.

Cool Dad: Don't worry, everything's cool now. Let's just call this match.

"Burn" by Throwdown begins to balre as Phoenix Chambers comes down. He stops for a second. But when the part of the song that says "BURN!" is played, he throws his arms back, in a Raven-like fashion, letting the hood on his head fall down.

Michelle Madison: Introducing his partner, from Las Vegas, Nevada, weighing in at 243 lbs., Phoenix Chambers!

He takes off his hoodie and throws it in the crowd, looks at T-Money, then sits on the top turnbuckle.

Phil Brooks: Phoenix Chambers has some nerve! There of course is the man who screwed up Alaric Griffon's shot as possible U.S. gold! But Alaric could possibly get some payback tonight. Plus, he will face Chambers at Alpha in a No Holds Barred matchup.

Josh Harter: Phil, Alaric won't even make it to Alpha after tonight after Phoenix destroys him.

Cool Dad: But what's so riduculous is that even though Chambers got a title shot, he didn't captialize on it!

Suddenly, Alaric Griffon and Jamal Carter run out to the ring and begin to brawl with T-Money and Phoenix Chambers.

Alaric Griffon and Phoenix Chambers begin to brawl up the rampway and into the tunnel. Meanwhile, Cool Dad has made he way into the ring with a chair in hand.

Phil Brooks: What's he going to do with that chair?

Josh Harter: Oh no Phil, he's gonna take out T-Money! He has already promised to end his very career!

Cool Dad stands in the ring, looking to hit T-Money with it, but as Jamal Carter gets up, HE is struck with the chair!

Phil Brooks: What the hell was that?!

Josh Harter: Yes, haha, there you go Cool Dad!

Cool Dad then folds out the chair and grabs Jamal Carter as he stands out the chair. Cool Dad then sets up for his Iconiclypse package piledriver and drops down on the chair which leaves Carter seriously hurt.

Josh Harter: Cool Dad said he was gonna make a mark and I think he has!

Phil Brooks: Damn that Cool Dad! First T-Money hits Jamal with a chair last week, now Cool Dad does the same damn thing this week and more! So does this mean there a an alliance between the two? We'll have to find out in the weeks to come.

Medics tend to Jamal Carter while Cool Dad heads toward the backstage area. T-Money walks over to where John Stockton is sitting and John Stockton quickly hops to his feet. They have a brief stare down with each other, but T-Money slowly turns around in the opposite direction. He then turns back and spits in John Stockton’s face. John Stockton, now infuriated, tries to hop over the guardrail and attack T-Money but GWC security guards restrain him. As T-Money walks up the ramp, he raises both of his arms in the air as the fans begin to pelt him with food and drinks.

Phil Brooks: I can’t believe this guy! Is he ever going to stop? T-Money is one of GWC’s most hated men, and I suggest that he start making some friends quickly.

Josh Harter: T-Money has certainly made this an interesting night so far. He has turned Salt Lake City into the new Las Vegas.

Finally Jamal Carter is brought to his feet and assisted on his way backstage while being given an ovation from the crowd.

Ryder v. Abbadon v. Brian Haze

Phil Brooks: This should be one hell of a physical match after what we’ve heard from the three combatants.

Josh Harter: All I know is they’re all going to hell tonight. Ryder lives on the Path to Hell, Abbadon is from Hell, and Haze is sure to be sent there after this match!

Phil Brooks: Haze is going to surprise you in this match Josh. Look for him to be the sleeper favorite in this battle.

The lights in the arena dim to a dark blue and dark green glow. "Stricken" by Disturbed blasts over the PA System and Brian Haze walks out onto the entrance stage. The crowd erupts in cheers as Haze walks to each side of the stage and poses. He then begins to walk down the aisle and slides into the ring. As he poses in the middle of the ring green and blue pyros stream down from the rafters. The lights then return to normal as "Stricken" begins to fade out.

“Deathmarch” hits and Abbadon comes out with his manager. His manager points at the ring with his kendo stick. Abbadon runs to the ring, slides in, sticks his thumbs in the air, and fire explodes from the stage. “Deathmarch” fades.

Smoke fills the ringside area and "Kingdom Come" by Godflesh begins to play as we see a shadowy figure emerge from the curtain. Dressed in a chainmail sleeveless shirt, black jeans, and a pair of black boots, this man makes his way to the ring. He slides under the bottom rope, stands, and sticks both fists straight out to his sides as he tilts his head back and looks to the rafters. His long blonde hair falls back from his face to reveal deep blue eyes and a face that is tormented. He then goes to the corner of the ring and sits against the bottom turnbuckle as the music fades and the lights turn back on. This is Ryder.

The three men stare each other down to begin the match. Brian Haze is the first into action as he bounces off the ropes and launches himself at Abbadon. He’s caught in midair and looks helpless. Abbadon smiles cruelly and throws Haze to Ryder who also catches him in midair!

Josh Harter: Did you see that?! It’s like that punk Haze is nothing but a toy to these two!

Phil Brooks: That’s disrespectful to Brian Haze! He doesn’t deserve to be thrown around like a ragdoll. He’s in this match too!

Ryder with a belly-to-belly suplex to Haze and then he clotheslines Abbadon over the top rope to the floor. Ryder with a forearm to Haze followed by a short arm clothesline and elbow drop and then knee drop. Abbadon comes in and he wants to work with Ryder. They work over Haze. Suddenly Abbadon with a kick to Ryder's abdomen and then he is sent into the ring post by the big man.

Abbadon then holds Ryder for Haze to hit a forearm. Haze hits it and they send Ryder shoulder first into the ring post again. Haze then sends Ryder to the floor. Haze then goes after Abbadon. After two quick punches he bounces off the ropes and dropkicks the giant in the leg, sending him down to one knee. Seeing an opportunity, he bounches off the ropes again and nails a Shining Wizard followed by a running bulldog, toppling Abbadon.

Phil Brooks: What a move by Brian Haze! He hit the Deathtrap and has somehow managed to take that monster off his feet!

Josh Harter: That won’t last for long Phil my boy. Abbadon may be out but Ryder’s getting back in the ring and he looks pissed!

Haze with the pin attempt but Ryder is there with a boot to the head to break it up. Ryder picks up Haze and, with Abbadon down for the moment, hits a European uppercut followed by a spinning heel kick to the temple. Ryder with an Irish whip and running clothesline to Haze but as soon as he turns around, he’s grabbed in a chokehold by the rising Abbadon. Ryder is lifted into the air and chokeslammed hard into the mat. Haze waits to pounce on Abbadon and he attacks from behind. He kicks Abbadon into the corner and attempts a superkick. However, Abbadon catches his leg and lifts him in the air for a thunderous powerbomb. Haze rolls out of the ring as Abbadon looks to go after the still fallen Ryder.

Phil Brooks: Ryder is still down and out after that chokeslam and it looks like Abbadon is signaling for the Pitfall, his variation of the tombstone piledriver!

Josh Harter: I hate to see Ryder lose this match but at least it’s to Abbadon and not that punk ass Brian Haze.

Phil Brooks: How many man crushes do you have around here Josh?

Josh Harter: Just call the action Brooks.

Abbadon lifts Ryder for the Pitfall but before he can hit it, Brian Haze nails the behemoth with a chop block to the right knee, causing him to drop Ryder! The Unholy Warrior then sets Abbadon up and hits a massive Ryderplex in the center of the ring. Ryder goes for the pin and gets a 1…2…broken up by Haze.

Josh Harter: Damn that Brian Haze!

Phil Brooks: Easy there Josh. You can console one of your boyfriends after the match is over.

Haze hits a series of stiff kicks to Ryder’s legs and body before nailing him directly in the head with a vicious Yakusa kick. Haze now goes for the cover and gets a 1…2…kick out by Ryder. Haze is getting frustrated now and climbs to the top rope. Abbadon suddenly rises and heads over to intercept Haze but gets a thumb to the eyes for his trouble!

Josh Harter: Hey that’s cheating! He can’t do that!

Phil Brooks: Looks like Brian Haze knows who he’s in the ring with and doesn’t have a problem with dishing out a little of their own medicine.

Abbadon backs away, leaving Haze free to hit a split legged moonsault on Ryder. He immediately pops up and this time connects with the superkick to Abbadon, knocking the Devil’s Companion out of the ring. Haze stands Ryder up and is ready to hit the Ice Breaker. Suddenly Ryder counters with a knee to the stomach and sets Haze up for a running release powerbomb. Haze goes crashing to the mat and looks to be out cold. Ryder makes the cover and gets a 1…2…broken up by Abbadon who barely gets a hold of one of Ryder’s legs to pull him off of the fallen Haze. Abbadon then sets up Ryder and lifts him high in the air and drops him crashing to the mat with a gorilla press slam. Abbadon is the only man left standing as Brian Haze and Ryder seem to be out of it on the mat. As he taunts the crowd, Haze suddenly gets a burst of energy and kips up behind Abbadon.

Josh Harter: Turn around big man! Look out behind you!

Phil Brooks: What are you trying to do? Let these guys fight it out on their own!

Haze turns Abbadon around and kicks him in the stomach. He then signals to the crowd before hitting the Ice Breaker! The monster is out cold and in perfect position for one of the Icer’s high risk moves. He climbs to the top to attempt his Skytwister finisher on Abbadon but out of nowhere Ryder rises up, runs to the corner, and climbs the ropes, catching Haze with a tornado DDT off the top rope and head first into Abbadon’s chest!

Phil Brooks: What a maneuver! The Last Ryde on Brian Haze directly on top of Abbadon. That’s got to be it folks!

Josh Harter: Nobody gets up from a move like that from my man Ryder!

Ryder covers Haze and the referee makes the count. 1…2…3.!

Michelle Madison: Here is your winner…..Ryder!

Ryder is seated in the corner against the turnbuckle as the ref lifts his arm in victory.

Phil Brooks: What a physical matchup that was! Brian Haze was so close to ending this match but Ryder popped up out of nowhere to hit his Last Ryde and get the win.

Josh Harter: I always knew he could do it!

Phil Brooks: Oh brother.

Thunder Segment

The scene is the GWC Wednesday Night Assault interview area, where Tim Ryan stands with microphone in hand.

Tim Ryan: Tonight is a huge night for GWC. The semifinals of the World Title Tournament will be taking place very shortly, and all eyes will be on the participants. Standing next to me now is one of those wrestlers. He is the Root of All Evil and The Greatest Wrestler Money Can Buy. Please welcome at this time, Thunder.

The camera pans back and Thunder comes into view. He is in his ring gear and is wearing a GWC Alpha shirt.

Tim Ryan: Obviously, tonight you have a huge match against Miguel Sanchez. Do you have any particular strategy planned for this match?

Thunder: Strategy? Are you kidding me? Miguel Sanchez is as much of a threat as you are, Tim. I’m going to tell you the cold, hard truth right now, and everyone will know it as fact soon enough. Miguel Sanchez is not all that he appears. It’s all smoke and mirrors, or in his case, smoke and crack pipes. I’m not letting some junkie who spends all of his money booze and drugs take my spot in the World Title Match at Alpha. He doesn’t have an ounce, make that a kilo, of the talent I have. It’s not a matter of if I’ll win, it’s a matter of when I decide to finish Sanchez off.


Tim Ryan: If you win, who would you like to face? Skyler Striker or BA Monk?

Thunder: It makes no difference to me who I face. The fact of the matter is I’m the best goddamn wrestler in GWC. That’s why I’m going to beat Sanchez tonight and that’s why I’ll be World Champion when Alpha is over. You can bank on that you little piece of crap.

Thunder storms away from the interview area.

Tim Ryan: Obviously, Thunder is confident that he will be victorious tonight. Let’s go back to ringside for our next match.

The Poet v. G-Money

"Money in the Bank" by Lil Scrappy hits as G-Money struts his way down to the ring, tossing bills to the crowd as they cheer him on his entrance.

Michelle Madison: Introducing first, from Cashville...G-Money!

"Beethoven's Fifth Symphony" plays throughout the arena as the Poet emerges from the curtain, waving to the fans, and walking down to the ring. Climbing the ring steps, he pauses on the apron to wipe his feet before stepping through the ropes. Once inside, he continues to wave as the music fades.

Michelle Madison: And his opponent, The Poet!

Immediately after entering the ring, Poet is struck with several right hands by G-Money. G-Money then sends him out over the top rope with a clothesline and then rolls out on the floor after him. Poet is sent into the guard rail with an irish whip. G-Money comes charging at Poet, but Poet backdrops G-Money into the crowd and onto several chairs. Poet pulls G-Money out of the crowd and a double underhook slam on the ramp.

Josh Harter: The match has just started and it’s already brutal!

The referee yells at Poet, telling him to get back in the ring. As this is happening, G-Money sneaks up behind Poet and low blows him. He follows it up with a t-bone suplex and then a piledriver.

Phil Brooks: Dear God! Poet may have broken his neck!

Josh Harter: The referee already has no control of this.

The referee now threatens to disqualify both men and bring an end to the match. G-Money shoves the referee out of the way and rolls Poet into the ring. He lifts Poet up for a suplex, but Poet slips out and hits a standing dropkick.

Josh Harter: I can’t believe Poet has any energy left after what he went through only moments ago.

Phil Brooks: Well, apparently he does.

Josh Harter: Obviously.

Poet sends G-Money into the ropes and slows down the pace by putting him in a sleeperhold. G-Money fights, but is soon practically out cold. The referee raises G-Money’s arm once and drops, and does the same a second time. On the third drop of the arm, G-Money shows signs of life. G-Money reaches his feet and bounces off the ropes, rolling up Poet afterwards.

One!

Two!

Poet kicks out. G-Money, resting in the corner, removes the top turnbuckle pad. Poet comes charging at G-Money and G-Money shoves him into the exposed turnbuckle. With Poet now dazed, G-Money locks in a cobra clutch.

Josh Harter: Cobra Clutch! Poet has no chance now!

Phil Brooks: But G-Money used the exposed turnbuckle to get the advantage.

Josh Harter: Who cares? Remember this: Win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat.

Phil Brooks: Isn’t that a Jesse Ventura line?

Josh Harter: ....maybe...

The referee asks Poet if he gives up, but Poet is struggling conscious after the shot into the turnbuckle. He low blows G-Money and sends him into the exposed turnbuckle. He follows it up with The Pen Is Mightier.

Phil Brooks: Nobody gets up from that!

Poet goes for the pin.

One!

Two!

Thr...G-Money’s foot is on the ropes.

Josh Harter: So close.

Poet is upset and screams at the ref while G-Money reaches his feet and hits Poet with a backhanded chop. He follows up with a quick DDT, followed by a cover.

One!

Two!

Thr...this time Poet has his foot on the ropes.

Josh Harter: Once again, extremely close.

Phil Brooks: Both these men have done it all, and neither wants to lose this one.

G-Money picks up Poet for Droppin Dem Bones, but Poet slips out and sends G-Money into the ropes. Poet then catches him... and executes Verbal Violence! Poet pins, hooking the leg.

One!

Two!

Josh Harter: Could this be it?!

Three.

Michelle Madison: Here is your winner...THE POET!!!

"Beethoven's Fifth" plays as The Poet rolls out of the ring and walks to the back.

Phil Brooks: Nice little debut there.

Josh Harter: I envision a very bright future!

Skyler Striker v. BA Monk

Phil Brooks: Well here it is, this is when it all matters. Our double main event for the two top contender spots for the WORLD TITLE at ALPHA!

Josh Harter: This arena is electric right now and I'm on the edge of my seat. It's time to go to Michelle Madison...

Michelle Madison: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and is for a shot at the GWC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!

‘Keep Away’ by Godsmack hits and B.A. Monk begins his walk to the ring.

Michelle Madison: Introducing first, from Greenville, South Carolina, weighing in at 232 pounds, he is B.A. Monk!

The crowd give a mostly heat reaction to Monk, yet there are a few cheers as he poses in the ring.

Michelle Madison: And his opponent, from Sydney, Australia, weighing in at 220 lbs, Skyler Striker!

A bell rings and the arena lights shut off completely except for a dark blue light that covers the entrance. Another bell replaces it with the same ring. This too fades until a guitar powers out over the P.A., and the bell rings a third time as the introduction to Metallica’s “For Whom The Bell Tolls” plays. The haunting sounds continue as more blue lights come and go around the arena. The preceding lyricless verse and chorus play, instead the song leads straight into the first verse with words. A shadowy figure emerges at the entranceway, completely black in the dark blue light. A flash of light reveals Skyler Striker, dressed in an unbuttoned black shirt and his torn maroon pants. He steps out onto the entrance stage and stands completely still for a moment. He begins his walk to the ring as the lone light follows him down, the arena still black. Skyler slides into the ring and stops in the middle, throwing off his shirt and spreads his arms in a crucifix pose as the lights come up with red pyro exploding from the turnbuckles. Skyler walks to the turnbuckle and does another crucifix, before turning to stare at Monk, who has moved to the outside of the ring.

Josh Harter: Look at Striker, acting as if he knows everything.

Phil Brooks: He knows more than Monk. Monk didn’t even know whether Striker’s kid was a girl or a boy!

The bell rings and the two lock up. The two fight to the corner but the ref breaks it up and the two circle each other again before Monk pretends to lock up but instead slaps Striker across the face.

Phil Brooks: Hey, come on. Show some respect.

Josh Harter: Because Striker would have shown some to him? Do it again, Monk!

Striker smiles, and does not attack, instead turning the other cheek to Monk.

Phil Brooks: What? Attack him!

Monk slaps Striker again – or would have, had Striker not grabbed his arm in midair. The microphones pick up a few words from Striker which sound something to the effect of ‘don’t be greedy’ before Striker gets a big smile on his face and, still holding Monk’s arm, does a complete 360˚ backflip, twisting Monk’s arm back behind him and allowing Striker to grab Monk’s other arm, holding him in the air in a double chickenwing stretch.

Phil Brooks: Innovative move from Striker!

Josh Harter: Well, maybe, but…

Striker yells at Monk to give up, but Monk refuses. Striker eventually jumps forward, so that Monk lands on the ground first, his face being planted into the mat. Striker turns him over for a pin.

No! Monk kicks out and Striker lets him up only to receive a hard right hand to the face for his troubles. Monk throws another fist and hits a scoop slam on Striker before hitting the ropes and coming back for a knee drop, but Striker moves out of the way and Monk rolls away unscathed. However, as he turns, Striker hits a massive clothesline and Monk collapses neck-first to the mat. Striker hits a leg drop and motions to the crowd, who cheer as he ascends to the top. Striker lets out a yell and jumps into the air, going for an elbow drop, but this time Monk moves and ascends himself. After Striker stands, Monk jumps and nails a missile dropkick right to the sternum of Striker, and goes for a pin.

No! Striker kicks out.

Phil Brooks: A good competition here from these two. One of them definitely wants to win.

Josh Harter: You think?

Striker gets to his knees only for Monk to nail a shining wizard. Monk then signals for his finisher and Striker stands wearily. Monk grabs Striker and lifts him into the air in a stalling suplex, before coming down hard in a sit-down neckbreaker.

Josh Harter: The End! This is it for Striker!

Monk covers Striker.

2..

No! Striker kicks out just before the three and Monk is incredibly frustrated. He grabs Striker, lifts him to his feet, and locks in the Lights Out on him. Striker stumbles and falls, but monk holds it on tight. The ref grabs Striker hand and drops it once… twice… but Striker stays in the air after the second and Monk cannot believe it. Striker throws a punch at Monk and hits, and Monk releases the grip. Striker stands and Monk goes to clothesline but misses, and Striker instead grabs Monk’s arm and nails the Final Revelation! He does not go for the pin, however, instead climbing to the top and signalling another finisher!

Josh Harter: Here it comes…

Phil Brooks: Skyler High Dive!

Striker nails the 630˚ Senton and covers Monk.

2..

No! Monk gets his foot on the rope lightly and the ref breaks the count!

Phil Brooks: These men want it bad.

Striker grabs Monk by the legs and pulls him to the middle of the ring, before going for another cover. Two count as Monk is able to get a shoulder up this time, much to the displeasure of Striker. Striker lifts Monk to his feet and drives him to the mat with a belly-to-belly followed by another cover.

Phil Brooks: One! Two! Three! No! Another kickout from Monk. When titles are on the line, no man stays down for three!

Josh Harter: What does that even mean?

Striker pulls Monk to his feet once again and sets him up for Final Revelation, much to the pleasure of the fans. Suddenly, Monk slips around Striker and locks in Lights Out! The crowd begins to boo loudly as Striker falls to his knees and then on the ground. The referee lifts his arm.

Phil Brooks: THAT'S IT! BA MONK DEFEATED SKYLER STRIKER AND IS GOING TO ALPHA!

Michelle Madison: Here is your winner, by submission, B...A...MONK!

Josh Harter: I knew he would do it all along. Monk has improved like no one else in this federation, and now has a chance to be it's first World Champion! And rightfully so!

"Keep Away" hits the speakers as Monk has his arm lifted by the referee. Tears of joy roll down his face as he rolls out of the ring and walks towards the backstage with a chorus of boos raining upon him.

Miguel Sanchez v. Thunder

Phil Brooks: Can you believe it Josh?! We are just 2 weeks away from the Global Wrestling Coalition's 1st PPV Alpha live February 21st. Great performance form B.A. Monk and Skyler Striker earlier tonight and we now know that Monk is going to be one of the 2 participants in the main event for the most prized possession in all of the GWC, the GWC World Championship.

Josh Harter: True That Phil. Now it is time so cross the t's and dot the i's because Sanchez and Thunder are going to battle it out, right here, right now for that final spot in the main event at Alpha.

The bell rings and Michelle Madison is standing in the ring microphone in hand.

Michelle Madison: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is a semifinal match in the GWC World Title tournament!

"Money" by Pink Floyd begins to play. As the cash register sound ends and the music begins, Thunder walks towards the ring.

Michelle Madison: First, making his way to the ring, from New York City, New York, weighing 230 lbs., Thunder!

Thunder reaches the apron and climbs the turnbuckle, taunting the fans. Thunder enters the ring and makes a title motion in the center of the ring.

The lights go out in the arena and "Leave you far Behind" by Lunatic Calm begins to boom through the arena. All of a sudden, green strobe lights begin to shoot through the arena. The spotlight then shines down on the ramp as Miguel Sanchez is shown standing with a cigarette in his mouth. He then pulls the cigarette out of his mouth and flicks it into the crowd. Sanchez stands at the end of the ramp and makes a title motion around his waist. He then proceeds to walk down the ramp.

Michelle Madison: And his opponent, weighing in at 230 lbs., Miguel Sanchez!

Sanchez stops at the apron and looks up at Thunder who waves him into the ring arrogantly. He then walks over to his left where the steel steps are and walks up them and onto the apron. Sanchez scrapes off the dirt on his boots and steps through the ropes. He walks over to the closest corner and climbs up to the middle rope where he opens his arms and sucks in the reaction from the crowd. The fans go crazy. He then steps off and waits for the match to begin. Michelle Madison leaves the ring.

Phil Brooks: Josh, this match has been building since I can remember. The past between these two is-

Josh Harter: Phil, Phil! Who cares about the past? GWC is about the now and right now we are going to have a semifinal world title tournament match!

Phil Brooks: You make a point there Josh. One thing I do want to say is that this match is going to be better then we imagined.

Sanchez and Thunder step into the center of the ring and get face to face. Part of the crowd chants “Lets go Sanchez!” while the other half chants “Lets go Thunder!”

Josh Harter: The great thing about these GWC fans is they can cheer for whoever they want. It also helps that these 2 are of the greatest competitors we will ever see.

Thunder slaps Sanchez in the face. Sanchez staggers back and holds his face. Thunder yells “The title is mine!” Sanchez regains his stamina and answers with a slap of his own to Thunder. Thunder jumps at Sanchez; Lou Thez presses him and begins to deliver right hands to Sanchez’s forehead. Sanchez manages to stop one punch, rolls Thunder over and delivers forearm shots of his own. Sanchez locks in a head lock on Thunder. Thunder slides out and backdrops Sanchez on the back of his head. Sanchez grabs his head in pain while Thunder stomps away at Sanchez’s lower back. Thunder bounces off the ropes and drops a knee on Sanchez’s lower back.

Phil Brooks: You can see Thunder in the early going targeting that lower back of Sanchez. Not only will that wear him down but make him vulnerable for submission.

Thunder locks Sanchez in a single leg crab digging his knee into the back of Sanchez. Sanchez cries out in pain but he is able to shake Thunder’s knee off his back and crawl over and get a hand on the ropes. The ref counts the DQ.

The ref pulls Thunder off Sanchez and warns him of DQ. Thunder tries to drag Sanchez to his feet but Sanchez uppercuts Thunder in the jaw. Thunder drops to the mat grasping his jaw in pain. Sanchez stands up, puts Thunder in a sitting position and hits a low kick to Thunder’s injured jaw. Sanchez holds his lower back in pain but manages to pick up Thunder. Sanchez delivers more elbows to Thunder’s jaw and hits a devastating sit down jawbreaker snapping Thunder’s head back against the mat. Thunder once again grabs his jaw in pain and Sanchez goes for the pin.

Thunder kicks out at 2.

Sanchez curses in disbelief and locks in a reverse chin lock on Thunder.

Phil Brooks: Oh man, I thought Sanchez had Thunder right there. You can see Sanchez now going to work on that injured jaw.

Crowd: Thunder! Thunder! Thunder!

Thunder hears the crowd’s chants and begins to work his way to his feet and shoves Sanchez off him. Sanchez charges at Thunder but Thunder hits him with a tiltawhirl backbreaker. Sanchez is once again in pain holding his lower back. This gives Thunder a chance to deliver double ax handle shots to Sanchez’s lower back. Thunder stands up Sanchez and delivers knee shots to his back. Sanchez falls to the mat in pain and Thunder climbs to the top of the nearest turnbuckle. Thunder stands on the top turnbuckle and jumps off, stomping both feet on Sanchez’s back. Thunder hooks Sanchez’s right leg and goes for the pin.

Sanchez barely manages to kick out at 2.

Thunder argues with the referee but goes back on the attack. He locks in a surfboard submission hold digging his knee into the back of Sanchez. Thunder has Sanchez in the center of the ring with nowhere to go.

Crowd: Sanchez! Sanchez! Sanchez!

Josh Harter: This crowd is totally into this match. Whether it’s Sanchez or Thunder, this crowd is electrified for both men.

Sanchez hears the crowd’s chants and he finally twists and turns his way out of the submission. Sanchez shoves Thunder away, Thunder charges back but is met with a running front dropkick from Sanchez dropping him to the mat. Sanchez nears the ropes as Thunder stands up and bounces off the second rope with a springboard back elbow in Thunder’s chest. Sanchez signals with a cut throat, sets up Thunder in the Great Rebirth, drives Thunder’s head into the mat and goes for the pin.

Thunder just barely manages to get the shoulder up.

Sanchez is stunned in disbelief. Sanchez stomps down Thunder, holds his lower back in pain and climbs the nearest turnbuckle. Sanchez tries to hit the Sinner Fly but Thunder rolls out of the way. Sanchez lands on his back and cries out in pain. Thunder stands up Sanchez and locks in the Million Dollar Dream.

Phil Brooks: This could decide it here!

Sanchez slips right out out of the sleeperhold and swings a wild right hand that connects solidly with Thunder. He hits him with another right, then a third. Sanchez bounces off the ropes and attempts a sunset flip into a pin, but Thunder blocks it and sits across Sanchez's shoulders. Sanchez immediately reverses the cover and gets his legs on the ropes. The referee slides to make the count and doesn't see Sanchez use of leverage.

Phil Brooks: 1! 2! 3! Sanchez has won it and the ref never saw him get his feet on the ropes! It's going to be Monk and Sanchez at Alpha!

Michelle Madison: Here is your winner, MIGUEL SANCHEZ!

"Leave You Far Behind" hits the speakers as Sanchez rolls out of the ring with his arm raised. He signals a title wrapping around his waist to the crowd as they boo.

Phil Brooks: It's a travesty he steals a spot in the main event like that.

Josh Harter: Travesty? He's the best talent in this federation, and will be the champion just as I predicted, in two weeks.

Phil Brooks: BA Monk will have something to say about that! Regardless, he shouldn't need to cheat to win.

Josh Harter: Ain't cheatin', ain't trying!

Phil Brooks: Whatever. Come back next week folks, we've got a #1 contender match for the US Title, and more news on ALPHA!

The end credits roll on the screen with a zoom in on Sanchez' smiling face.

ya i dont mind u guys writing them. i work full time and wouldnt be able to write all the matches every week with how many people we have. all that matters is the finish, the rest is just to build excitement. and for those doing Ultimate matches, good storytelling means both men get beaten up, false finishes, and a build up to the end. dont just throw 20 high spots in ur match and look for a W
