Creeping Death
Gimmick:
Not MUCH is known about Creeping Death's history. He was born Corey Volz in or around Death Valley, California. There is one story that has been made public. His father, when Creeping Death was nine years old, beat CD's brother, Kirk and sister, Sara literally to death for an unknown reason. Traumatized, Creeping Death took a baseball bat, and ended his father's life in a rage. Getting through trial by way of self defense, CD and his mother moved to Des Moines, Iowa. Throughout school, Creeping Death was tormented for the actions. When he was 16, his mother passed away in a car accident. Creeping Death was sent even more into the darkness of an unfufilling life. He barely graduated high school, and as soon as he turned 18, enrolled in a wrestling school. The instructor was a guy by the name of The Crow. He saw potential in CD and a man dubbed Frost, however, CD and Frost had no interest in the technical style they were being taught. The Crow realized this, and pulled the young men aside, asking them to come in after hours, and develop a style Creeping Death maintains today ... suicidal. The two men would go at it tooth and nail weekly for about two years. The Crow enrolled Creeping Death in a fed at the age of 20.
Creeping Death's attitude can change on a dime. One minute he'll be joking around, the next he'll be as serious as can be. For the most part, he stays mysterious. He trusts very few.
Height/weight:
6'0'' - 218lbs
Hometown:
Residing in Des Moines, Iowa
Grew up in or around Death Valley, California
Alignment (Face/heel/neutral):
Neutral
Appearance/attire:
Creeping Death has middle long black hair with red highlights/streaks that is always wet and straight. Creeping Death is back to the white face paint with the black fade circles around his eyes, fading out as they go away from his eyes. There are five black scratch looking marks starting at each eyebrow and going to CD's hairline, almost. Over his mouth is a black design, spiking up and down, left and right. He has black barbed wire tattooed curling up and around his left forearm. At the top of the barbed wire is an upside down cross. On his right arm he has the black tribal Slipknot "S" on the underside of his forearm, between his wrist and inner elbow. On his back, he has black angel wing tattoos, as well. Creeping Death has a scar of a row horizontal lines on the right side of his body on his ribcage from a weed whacker.
Creeping Death wears baggy black nylon cargo pants, with white outlines of the pockets and stitching. He has gone back to the random band shirt method. Metallica, Index Case, Slipknot, Stone Sour, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Pantera, and Lacuna Coil, just to name a few. In the ring, however, he is shirtless. His shoes are black Vans with white circling around the bottom and white laces. His accessories are black elbow pads and black gloves with the fingers cut out of them.
Entrance (Specify music):
The lights slowly fade to black. Bells toll as the screen shows shots of a big wooden cross wrapped in barbed wire. It's a sunny day as the opening to "Listen" by Index Case plays. The crowd sings along. On the screen, the sunny day turns to night. Black clouds roll in and rain begins falling on the cross. Lightning crashes about. As the lightning crashes, white lights in the arena flash. When the song kicks up, twenty three seconds in, the entire crowd begins headbanging in unison and throwing the horns in the air as the lights come on just a tad, giving light to the dark. Standing on the stage is Creeping Death, wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, arms stretched out in a crucifix fashion. CD stands there for a second, taking in the crowd's reaction. Then he slowly makes his way down the ramp, looking out into the audience. As he reaches the ring, he slides in under the bottom rope, and pops to his feet. CD walks over to a turnbuckle, jumps to the middle rope facing the crowd, throws the horns in the air with his right hand as the crowd cheers. CD drops down, takes the hoodie off and hands the ref, and then takes a seat on the top turnbuckle, awaiting the match to begin.
Style:
Extreme, High Flying, extremely innovative (basically a mix of Sabu, AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam and Hayabusa)
Favorite Moves:
Fisherman Brainbuster, Death Valley Driver, Vertebreaker, Van Daminator, Van Terminator (normal and Tree of Woe, front flip optional), Burning Hammer, H Thunder (Emerald Fusion), Tony Jaa style Muy Thai flying knee strikes (single or both knees, jumping at the opponent's face, flipping, whatever), Busaiku Knee Kick (basically Samoa Joe's OLE Kick, with the knee instead of the foot), Exploder (overhead throw) Suplex, Dragon Suplex, Styles Clash, Cross Arm Scoop DDT, H Edge (Rock Bottom), Fallaway Slam swung out into an H Edge, {ALL VARIATIONS of Powerbombs, German Suplexes, DDTs, Spinebusters, Neckbreakers, Dropkicks, Enziguris, Hurricanranas and Springboard moves}, Brainbuster, Michinoku Driver, Falcon Arrow, Superkick, Gore, Dominator to X-Factor, Muscle Buster, T-Bone Suplex, Gargoyle Suplex (head and arm overhead), Tombstone, Diamond Cutter/RKO, Back turn layout kick to the back of the head (Pele), Piledriver, Kryptonite Krunch, Shock Treatment Torture Rack to Backbreaker, Northern Lights Suplex (released or held for a pin), Shining Wizard, Backdrop Driver, Stiff Tajiri-like kicks, Super Mario Stomp from Top Rope, Sky High Leg Drop, Sky High Flying Elbow Drop, Firebird (450) Splash, Shooting Star Press, Shooting Star Leg Drop, Swanton Bomb, Double Rotation Moonsault, Triple Jump Moonsault, Arabian Facebuster (top rope leg drop w/ chair), Air Sabu (chair or person assist), Every suicide plancha known to man, Asai Moonsault, Sliced Bread #2, Tree of Woe Super Mario Stomp, Middle Rope Fisherman Brainbuster, Side Standing Jump Super Hurricanrana (Sabu style), Super Falcon Arrow, Dragon Sleeper, Triangle Hold, Sharpshooter, Texas Cloverleaf, Arabian (Camel) Clutch (all moves delivered are stiff as hell and very impactful)
Trademark move and description:
"The Eulogy of the Dead" - Creeping Death bends the opponent over like a powerbomb. Instead of picking the opponent up, however, CD sunset flips over them, keeping their head locked between his legs. Flipping over and sitting out, CD hits a massive flipping piledriver, sending the opponent bouncing off their head.
"Elm Street Massacre" - Creeping Death gets the opponent up in an Electric Chair Drop. CD reaches up over the opponent's legs and hooks their head, bringing it down close to his own. Then, Creeping Death swings the opponent down and sits out, making the opponent land flush on the back of their head, all cradled up, with their legs hooked by CD's arms. Creeping Death can hold the move and make a pinning combination out of it.
"Patient Zero" - Creeping Death lifts the opponent up in a suplex, and lays them across the top rope, so that they lay parallel to the mat. CD pulls them out far enough so that their legs are on the ropes. From here, CD leaps up, clutches them behind the head and places both knees in their face, falling onto his back in a Face Blower. This sends the opponent recoiling back, and falling off to a side.
"Ryoujoku No Ame" - Pretty much an Avalanche (Top Rope) Brainbuster, super head droppy too.
"Atomic Phoenix Facebuster" - Combining and naming the move after the finishing moves of Creeping Death's main influences Sabu and Hayabusa, CD takes a chair up to the top rope with the opponent laying in the ring. CD faces the crowd and comes off in a Phoenix Splash, only not the splash, instead he positions the chair beneath his legs in the process of spinning and hits an Arabian Facebuster. Also, easily accomplished with the opponent laying on a table or kneeling face down.
"White/Black (depending on color) Death" - Standard "mist" but white, and in extreme situations, black.
Finisher and description:
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" - Back to the original. CD positions the opponent in a Pedigree, lifts them up so they are upside down with their head at CD's chest. Creeping Death then lifts a leg and brings up the other, slamming the opponent down face first between his legs as he sits out, arms trapped behind them. Pretty much a higher Angels Wings.
"Antichrist's Welcome" - Creeping Death kicks the opponent in the stomach, and pumphandles their left arm through their legs. From there, Creeping Death steps in front of them, hooking them up in a suplex. Using the pumphandled arm, Creeping Death lifts the opponent up, the pumphandled arm acting as the Fisherman leg hook and drops them in a Pumphandle Fisherman Brainbuster.
"A Bid Farewell" - Creeping Death bends the opponent over and pumphandles the far arm through their legs. CD then grabs around their neck, so that his arm is between their head and their near arm. From here, CD picks the opponent up so they are laying on their side across his shoulders. CD then dumps the opponent over on their head in a kind of side pumphandle Death Valley Driver/Burning Hammer type move.
